The mission of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is to welcome all to celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature.
In partnership with Hugs From Friends, Crystal Bridges created a commemorative event for Ukraine's Independence Day, aimed at educating and celebrating Ukraine's culture and resilience through art. The event included creating art, ‘Rule of Two Walls’ film screening, panel discussion, and candlelight vigil to honor those affected by conflict. Hugs From Friends continues to partner with CB through Foreign Nationals and Immigrants Employee Resource Group, You Mobile Art Lab and various CB community events.
Arkansas Arts Academy is a public charter school in Rogers that strives to be the ultimate K–12 choice for excellence in arts and education.Arkansas Arts Academy partnered with Hugs From Friends to create Northwest Arkansas Honors Ukraine event, marking 1 year anniversary of the war and aiming to raise awareness and support for Ukraine. The event included an exchange between students in Arkansas and Ukraine, with Academy students creating art, and performances to show solidarity. Hugs From Friends continues to partner with Arkansas Arts Academy through exchange of art and building awareness in the community.
savED is an international charitable foundation that restores access to education in Ukrainian communities that suffered from the Russian war against Ukraine.Hugs From Friends collaborated with savED in Chernihiv location, which is dedicated to rebuilding schools destroyed in the war. This partnership brought together students from Arkansas Arts Academy and Chernihiv through artwork and live video communication, enabling Arkansas students to learn more about the situation in Ukraine. Funds raised during the Northwest Arkansas Honors Ukraine event supported a local Chernihiv school. The relationship between Arkansas Arts Academy and savED continues through the exchange of solidarity themed artwork.
Not a single child in Ukraine should be left alone with the war. Voices of Children provides psychological and psychosocial support to children who suffered as a result of war operations. Read more about the current Hugs From Friends partnership with Voices of Children and the Project 1,000 Hugs.

Humanitarian Aid Center, Przemysl, Poland
Our first packages of art went to the Humanitarian Aid Center in Przemysl, which served as a crucial destination for Ukrainians who crossed into Poland at the Medyka border crossing in 2022. The Center closed in 2022.
